The new home of MV Marine

Innovation and green solutions: these are the concepts behind the new production facility of MV Marine, more than 5,000 square meters of walkable areas, to which must be added another 3,500 square meters of space outdoors, about one hundred inflatable boats that will be made each year, thirty employees, ten more who will arrive thanks to the new headquarters and all those who revolve around the induced activities.
The ribbon will be cut on Saturday, February 24, in the presence of MV Marine’s founder, engineer Vincenzo Nappo and his wife Maria; administration Luigi Nappo; the national president of Confindustria Nautica, Saverio Cecchi; and the mayor of Striano, Antonio Del Giudice. At the forefront all employees and collaborators, from the technical department to every branch of production. The new three-floored plant is located in the industrial area of Striano (via delle Industrie), an area that is easily accessible from the A30 highway (immediately near the Sarno exit). For the Nautical shipyard an important way to celebrate 30 years of activity: “We were born in 1994 – stresses the founder, Vincenzo Nappo-first as Motonautica Vesuviana and then as MV Marine – We can say that this opening represents for us the beginning of a new history.”
Attention to aspects related to environmental sustainability: “We are a green shipyard,” continues Nappo – The choices related to production and vacuum, in fact, allow us to cut down the emissions into the air by up to 95 percent, also significantly reducing the production of dust. In addition, our hulls are manufactured to have a great navigational quality and in-water lines that allow them to register lower consumption. Also their structure, for the insulation solutions and the fenestration used, which allow the use of natural light, demonstrates the attention paid to the preservation of nature.”
The building has three levels: on the ground floor, the production office, reception, canteen and relaxation rooms for workers; on the first and second floors the meeting room, where it will be possible to show video renderings of the models and demonstrate the various processing techniques to customers, dealers and importers. There is space for the technical offices, management, commercial area and administration.
Pointing to the health of the nautical sector, the president of Confindustria Nautica Saverio Cecchi: “The one inaugurated in Striano is a technologically advanced shipyard. The one designed by engineer Nappo and his team is a real jewel for the sector. Italian recreational boating is living a very serene moment: we are first in the construction of superyachts, of ten meters boats, and we are the first in the world.
