West Mediterranean and South France. Not many Russian people among the yacthmen and the itineraries in Turkey and Greece prove to be decreasing.
‘Our boat is in Maiorca during the winter – captain Guy Booth explains – We have worked hard in recent years with many requests towards Campania and Sicily, among the Italian destinations. We have observed that the last minute requests have decreased. The customers prefer to plan their trip in advance, this permits us to plan better the charter’s season’.
What’s the guidance for this industry? The captain suggests a superior training and more information for young people to approach them to this industry consciously.

“La nostra imbarcazione in inverno è a Maiorca – illustra il Comandante Guy Booth – abbiamo lavorato intensamente negli ultimi anni con grandi richiesti verso la Campania e la Sicilia, come tappe Italiane. Una cosa che abbiamo riscontrato nella domanda e’ la diminuzione dei last minute è maggiore programmazione da parte del cliente, quindi con date a lungo termine, che ci permettono di pianificare al meglio la stagione del charter”.
Consigli per il settore? Il comandante suggerisce maggiore formazione ed informazioni per le giovani leve e far avvicinare le nuove generazioni, con maggiore consapevolezza, al settore.
